Traditional and Contemporary

Calvary Baptist has for many years performed high quality traditional music led by our Senior Pastor and his wife. "Traditional" refers to a style of songs called hymns as well as choral music, which are powerful tools for teaching and worship, as well as being a part of our Christian heritage in the West.

In the last few years, however, Calvary Baptist has made several moves to incorporate contemporary music into the life and worship of the church, including building an entire worship room. This is still a growing ministry, however, so if you are a musician, please consider is God wants you to be a part of this important development in our life as a church!

Choir- the choir meets every Sunday at 5:30 and performs on a regular basis--all are welcome to join!

Worship Leaders and Musicians- Contemporary music is a new ministry at Calvary Baptist and we are looking for musicians to be involved! If you sing, play guitar, drums, piano, jazz flute or accordian and want to use that gift for the church, please contact Cheri Torrence.
